Description

The PP2002 Automatic Stationary Samplers are versatile units that can hold from 1 to 24 vials in a thermo-controlled sample storage chamber. Depending on the sampling method, can be used for sampling in process lines as well as in canals or tanks.

The units consist of a lower and an upper chamber. The lower chamber holds the samples at a constant temperature, while the upper chamber controls the unit’s electronics and mechanisms. This ensures smooth and efficient operation, maintaining the right conditions for sampling.

This comprehensive and user-friendly sampling unit provides a reliable and efficient sampling solution with the following advantages:

  • Versatility: the units can be adapted to use vacuum pressure or peristaltic pumps, respectively for sampling from tanks, open channels or pipelines.
  • Representative sampling: the sampling process does not release phthalates from the plastic components of the shovel, ensuring representative sampling according to ISO 5667. Sampling is based on time, flow, event or mixed sampling procedures.
  • High-quality manufacturing: the unit’s acid-resistant stainless steel housing with insulation is resistant to adverse weather conditions and guarantees durability and reliability.
    Intuitive menus and a multi-function display in English make it easy to use.
  • Multi-programming: Five different sampling programs can be configured with 8 tasks per program, helping you to tailor the instrument to your specific needs.
  • Data storage: All sampling data is stored on an SD card, ensuring reliable storage of information (optional). Each card stores information related to sampling and measurement. The unit can be connected to a host RS-485 device and optionally to a PC using the MODBUS protocol.
  • Thermostatic sample storage chamber: Equipped with a thermostatic chamber with Freon-free cooling system and recorded temperature measurement, which can store plastic bottles in bags.

How it works

Sampling devices shall optionally be equipped with a sampling system:

  • PP 2002+ vacuum pressure pump – recommended for sampling from tanks and open channels
  • PP2002 E peristaltic pump – recommended for sampling from pipelines

The stationary sampler collects liquid samples at 0°C – 60°C in a non-explosive environment. The unit has a microprocessor-controlled controller which uses proportional time, flow and event sampling (optional).The sample volume is determined by calibration. The sample shall be poured into vials (or vial) located in the lower chamber. The collected samples are stored in a thermostatic chamber at a constant temperature of 4 °C. This temperature slows down the biodegradation of these samples.

The unit is made of acid-resistant steel and is watertight and can therefore be operated outdoors.

An optional SD memory card is available to store information related to sampling and measurement. The unit can be connected to a host RS-485 device and optionally to a PC using the optional MODBUS protocol.
