Responsibility is growing, and with it the need to ensure that our processes are not only orderly but also meet modern requirements.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main monitoring methods is sampling water or wastewater. The company itself is responsible for proper sampling, analysis, and documentation of results. This is not only an obligation to state institutions but also a matter of reputation. Ultimately, it is the most important aspect of environmental protection and public health. Research is necessary so that people, businesses, and the entire ecosystem can thrive safely without pollution and disease.<\/p>\n<p>And while it may sound complicated, it really boils down to one question: are our processes ready for the future?<\/p>\n\n<h3>Legal basis \u2013 important to know<\/h3><p>In accordance with the updated Wastewater Management Regulations, the Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Management Act, and the State Environmental Protection Control Act, all operators who discharge wastewater into the environment or municipal networks must:<\/p><p>\u2022 Have a valid permit to use water and\/or discharge wastewater\r\n\u2022 Regularly test the composition of discharged wastewater\r\n\u2022 Submit reports to environmental protection authorities<\/p><p>\u25b6\ufe0f\u202fCheck out the latest drinking water and wastewater management legal requirements:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-tar.lt\/portal\/lt\/legalAct\/f4f5e7f0f17811ee9f5b8ffa077f9188\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wastewater Management Regulations<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/e-seimas.lrs.lt\/portal\/legalAct\/lt\/TAD\/TAIS.280587\/asr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Management Act;<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/e-seimas.lrs.lt\/portal\/legalAct\/lt\/TAD\/TAIS.171182\/asr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Law on State Control of Environmental Protection;<\/a><\/li>\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/e-seimas.lrs.lt\/portal\/legalAct\/lt\/TAD\/TAIS.45987\/asr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Law of Water;<\/a><\/li><\/ul><h3>How is control exercised?<\/h3><p>To ensure that laws and regulations are not just empty words on paper, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) regularly conducts scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
