Noggerath® Rotary Drum Screen RSH-I

Noggerath® Rotary Drum Screen RSH-I – robust, reliable and cost-efficient.

Noggerath® Rotary Drum Screen RSH-I were originally developed for the paper industry, but due to their versatility and robustness, these drum gratings have been successfully applied in many other industries. For more than 25 years, these drum gratings have been effectively used not only for industrial process water treatment, but also in municipal wastewater treatment processes where:

  • Adaptability to different types and volumes of materials to be screened.
  • More efficient collection of sinking materials,
  • Efficient handling of heavy loads.
  • Long service life with minimum maintenance costs.
  • Robust and airtight stainless steel construction.
  • Stable and smooth drum operation.

Description

Noggerath® Rotary Drum Screen RSH-I  the all-rounder in municipal wastewater treatment plants and in industry more than 25 years – robust, reliable and cost-efficient.

Noggerath® Rotary Drum Screen RSH-I  is a wastewater treatment plant uniquely suited for applications requiring thorough and reliable separation of sieved materials to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. The characteristics of these screens are particularly appreciated in plastics recycling companies, fruit and vegetable producers, wood processors, but also breweries, the sugar industry and the glass fiber industry appreciate the reliability of the system., due to their durability and the advantages listed below:

Benefits :

  • Versatility and reliability. Suitable for continuous, uninterrupted operation with a wide range of screened materials, ensuring reliable performance.
  • Efficient separation. Ensures efficient separation of materials due to the vertical tangential flow direction.
  • High carrier capacity. Thanks to the universal internal feed, it can efficiently handle large volumes of debris, which is particularly important when treating waste water with a high debris content.
  • Hermetically sealed stainless steel housing. Ensures long service life and minimum maintenance.
  • Easy adaptability. The choice of direct or chain drive system allows the grate to be adapted to different needs and tasks.
  • Performance and stable operation. The axial guide wheels and the mechanical surface of the drum, in the area of the wheels, are machined on a lathe to ensure a smooth and stable movement of the drum. And the double wheels used for larger diameter drums provide additional force and efficiency.
  • Optimum adjustment of the feed area. Can be customised to suit individual requirements, ensuring maximum screening efficiency from the start of the process.
  • Distortion-resistant drum. The external reinforcement spiral keeps the drum stable and smooth, regardless of the composition and quantity of the material to be screened.
  • Suitable for coarse solids. Ideal for the separation of coarse solids in combination with sand traps and/or sand washers.

How it works

The waste water flows through the inlet connector into the drum grate feed box. There, the flow velocity is reduced and water and solids are evenly distributed on the screening surface. The liquid enters the interior of the rotating horizontal screening drum through the side barriers and this tangential feeding leads to the automatic cleaning of the screen surface. The solid particles remain in the drum and are transported towards the outlet by spiral segments welded to the inner surface. During the transport they are statically drained and the filtrate flows downwards.
