CBB Decanter / Centrifuge is horizontal separator that are used to separate liquid from sludge by applying high centrifugal forces. These units work on a comprehensive operating principle with automatic function control and are characterized by an efficient and reliable separation process. They are important not only in wastewater treatment, but also in many industries for reducing the mass and volume of sludge

Advantages:

  • Flexibility and adaptability. CBB Decanters offer both two- and three-phase separation, depending on the needs of the specific process. This offers great flexibility and applicability in a wide range of wastewater treatment and industrial applications.
  • Automated process. The entire work cycle is controlled and monitored by the Decanter Process Controller (DPC) electronic card, which ensures optimum and stable process operation. This automated control allows to reduce human errors and increase safety.
  • Efficiency and effectiveness. Process optimisation and a fully automated work cycle reduce the cost of sludge dewatering production. The automatic regulation of the sludge pump allows optimisation of the sludge intake and polymer content, reducing costs and expenses.
  • Easy maintenance and servicing. The decanters have been designed with special attention to ease of servicing and maintenance. Their parts are easy to access and replace. Special technologies, such as hydraulic lid opening actuators, help to simplify the operator’s work.
  • Reliability and durability. Reliability and durability are ensured by strict quality control during production and twenty years of experience in sludge separation. The availability of original spare parts and remote technical support reduce waiting times for potential problems.
  • Hydraulic gearboxes.These parts of the unit allow the speed to be automatically adjusted according to the characteristics of the material to be processed, ensuring a stable and optimal separation result at all times.
  • Scraper at the debris removal point. The special gripper is installed which operates independently of the screw and ensures efficient debris removal, even under difficult working conditions or sticky sludge.
  • Hygienic. The entire process, from sludge feeding to dry material and water separation, takes place in a fully enclosed structure, ensuring hygiene and odor containment.
  • Mobile units. CBB also manufactures mobile dewatering stations that can be transported to wherever sludge separation is required. Inside, it is equipped with all the equipment needed for separation. They are designed and can be equipped according to the mobility and flexibility needs of customers

 

 

How it works

CBB Decanter/centrifuge are horizontal separators that are used to separate solid particles from water by applying high centrifugal forces to the whole mass. The different weights of the solids and the water cause the liquid mass to stratify into layers of sludge and water. The trapped solids are removed from the high-speed rotating centrifuge ‘cup’ by means of guiding systems at one end of the cup and the water is removed at the other end. The centrifuge is a continuous type of dewatering unit.
They can be used for both compaction and dewatering.
To achieve the best efficiency, the entire centrifuge process is automated and tailored to the customer’s specific needs and sludge characteristics. o The operating cycle is controlled and monitored using a CBB process controller.
This is a special electronic card that manages and optimises the separation process to achieve the best performance. With the CBB process controller, the whole process is automated and adapted to the specific needs of the customer, fully implementing them.

CBB Decanter Centrifuges are available in a variety of configurations and can be selected:

  1. TWO-PHASE DECANTER – allows the separation of liquid and solid particles in sludge of wastewater and/or industrial and/or food origin.
  2. THREE PHASE DECANTER – allows the separation of two liquid phases of different specific gravity from the solids present in sludge of sewage and/or industrial and/or food origin.
  3. MOBILE DEWATERING EQUIPMENT – mobile dewatering stations that can be transported to where sludge separation is required. All the equipment necessary for the separation is contained inside. They are designed to meet the mobility and flexibility needs of customers.
